First introduced in 2019, Stretchcosy™ Jersey fabric innovation was born from the union of Sorona® and EcoCosy® — answering industry calls for softer, more durable and sustainable performance fabric. With its blend of 72% EcoCosy® and 28% Sorona®,  Stretchcosy™ brings together the best of comfort, performance and sustainability.

Component 1: EcoCosy® — New-generation Viscose Fibers

EcoCosy® is a new-generation fiber created from sustainably sourced wood pulp. Its strength lies in its natural softness and breathability, giving the fabric a featherlight feel against the skin. Unlike conventional viscose, EcoCosy® fibers are engineered for enhanced durability and shape retention despite its buttery softness, making them a sustainable choice without compromising comfort and quality.

Component 2: Sorona® — The Stretch Fiber Replacing Spandex

The Sorona® component is a breakthrough bio-based fiber, quickly replacing Spandex as the stretch fiber of choice for its superior qualities. Unlike Spandex, which can degrade over time, Sorona® fibers are engineered for durability while maintaining a silky hand feel. In Stretchcosy™, Sorona® gives garments their sculpting effect: pieces hold their silhouette after countless wears and washes, resisting sagging and distortion.

Beyond touch and drape, the Stretchcosy™ fabric is also OEKO-TEX® certified for safety and skin-friendliness, making it gentle even on sensitive skin.
